Sanitary Workers Engagement under School Sanitation

ORDER:

While enclosing the copy of reference 4th cited, It is informed to all the District Educational Offices that the Government has approved the following guidelines for engagement of Sanitary Workers in Schools:

a..The Sanitary Worker will be appointed by the Head Master/Mistress with approval of resolution passed with the Parent Committee for each School.
b. The Sanitary Workers have to be engaged as per the following required strength on the Blocks, Urninals etc. which are to be taken into consideration Students/Blocks No.of Sanitary workers to be engaged

Up to 100 students - 1
101 to 500 - 2
500 to 1000 - 3
Above 1000 - 4
c. An amount of Rs.5000/- P.M to be paid to the Sanitary Worker as Honorarium towards attending sanitary work and any work entrusted by the Head Master/Mistress concerned.
d.Ammovadi amount shall be used to meet the honorarium by passing a resolution by HM and parents committee and proper registers shall be maintained with all transactions.

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are requested to follow the above guidelines scrupulously specified by the Government while engaging the sanitary workers in the School and proper records/registers formats for Ammavodi Donation amount, expenditure etc.. (already registers communicated) should be maintained with all
transactions without fail, if any deviation in this regard will be viewed seriously and appropriate action will be taken on the concerned.

Further, they are also requested to issue necessary instructions to the filed functionaries on the above guidelines, on encouragement of donor on sanitation.
