Ref: Instructions of the Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh.
The attention of all the Reginal Joint Director of School Education and all the District Educational Officers in the state are informed that, it is proposed to conduct Teachers Games Cricket For Men Teachers and Throw Ball for Women Teachers at Mandal, Divisional, District, and State levels with the following objectives:
- To promote physical fitness, health, and stress management among teachers.
- To encourage team spirit, discipline, and leadership qualities.
- To provide a platform for recreational engagement and an opportunity to showcase sporting talent.
- To strengthen unity and camaraderie among teachers across all cadres.
- To inspire students by setting an example of active participation in games and sports.
Team Selection Criteria :
- Teams will be selected at the Mandal level from among all teachers .
- From the Division level onwards, only the winning teams shall proceed to the next stage.

Selection Criteria – Men Teachers - Cricket :
- Up to Zonal Level: 15 overs per match – Maximum 3 overs per bowler.
- At State Level: 20 overs per match – Maximum 4 overs per bowler.

Match Format: Best of three sets (21–21–15), with 9 players on each side.

In this connection, the following Roles and Responsibilities are assigned to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the Teachers’ Games at different levels:

The above mentioned officers are responsible for the conduct of the Games at various levels shall oversee arrangements relating to venues, match schedules, provision of sports equipment, appointment of match officials, and coordination with the concerned authorities. The Administrative Officers at each level shall ensure proper logistical arrangements, including timely issue of orders, provision of food, prizes, and all other necessary support for the smooth conduct of the Games.
All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the state are hereby informed to issue necessary instructions to the Deputy Educational Officers, Mandal Educational Officers (1 & 2), District School Games Secretaries, Divisional Sports Coordinators, and Mandal Sports Coordinators to make the required arrangements at Mandal, Divisional, District and State levels as per the schedule.
Hence, the Additional Director (Ser.), Joint Director (Coordination) Joint Director (Ser-I & II) and Secretary, School Games Federation of Andhra Pradesh O/o Director of School Education, Amaravati, are instructed to coordinate with the concerned officers and Sports Coordinators in a timely manner to ensure the successful conduct of the Teachers’ Games.
The necessary orders regarding sanction of the budget will be issued separately in due course.
