Ammaku Vandanam Programme on every Vasant Panchami day from 2017-18 Guidelines Rc.No.31 dt.18.01.2018

The attention of all the Regional Joint Director of School Education and District Educational Officer in the state is invited to the references read above, wherein necessary budget. District wise, management wise No.. of High Schools, Instructions/ Guidelines were issued to them with a request to celebrate Ammaku Vandanam Programme in identified High Schools on the day of
Vasantha Panchami on 22-1-2018 during the academic year 2017-18.
       Further, they are informed that in the reference 9th read above (copy enclosed), Government has requested the Management of Private Schools, Aided Schools or any other schools to Celebrate "Ammaku Vandanam" Programme, by the expenditure from their resources, if they so prefer to celebrate, it can be performed on the date declared by the Government.
        Further it is informed that the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Hon'ble Minister for HRD are inaugurating the Ammaku Vandanam Celebrations at Zilla Parishad High School, Chandrampalem, Visakhapatnam on 22-01-2018 by 10.00 a.m.

They are therefore requested:
1. To identify the number of High schools management wise as shown in the statement appended accordingly and implement the "Ammaku Vandanam" Programme on the day of
"Vasantha Panchami" i.e. on 22.01.2018 scrupulously in their respective jurisdiction on a grand manner.
2. To issue necessary instructions that Ammaku Vandanam Programme shall be celebrated in all High Schools which are left over i.e High Schools left over from the annexure, Aided High Schools, KGBVs, Residential and all Pvt. Unaided High schools.
      Further, they are requested to issue necessary instructions/guidelines to all the field functionaries and concerned school Headmasters for effective celebrations of Ammaku Vandanam Programme on 22.01.2018.
i) a} The procedure for conducting the Ammaku Vandanam Programme:

  • All students (boys and girls) of High Schools have to clean their mother's holy feet and express their gratitude.
  • Worship the feet of the mother with flowers and Akshintalu.
  •  Every student should take blessings from their mothers and express their gratitude for their birth.
  • Teachers should explain in detail about mother. greatness of the mother.
  • Conduct debate. quiz competitions and cultural programmes on "Mother" as focal theme.

b} Who are the invitees?

  • All School management committee members should be invited to the Ammaku-Vandanam Programme.
  • Every mother of the student studying in the respective schools should be invited with the help of School management committee members.
  • Eminent personalities would attend and deliberate their speeches on the greatness of the mother.
  • Public representatives. School well-wishers. may be invited to this programme.
  • To take all precautionary measures to make the program success.

c} Roles and Responsibilities of the Headmaster

  • All Headmasters of their respective schools should take care for conduct of the Ammaku Vandanam programme
  • Select a meeting hall / Big Class Room or Shamiana at outdoors for make seating arrangements for children and their parents
  • All teachers, students and parent should maintain discipline so as the programme shall be conducted in a festive manner.
  •  Arrange puja samagri and flowers for Pada Puja to mother.
  • To prepare a minute to minute plan to for the comfort to students and their mothers.
  • To provide drinking water etc.. to all students and invitees

d) Expenditure:

  • The School Education Department has created a New Head of account separately to meet the expenditure on conduct of Ammaku Vandanam.
  • @ Rs. 2500/- (Rupees two thousand and five hundred only) per school has been allocated to each school for this programme which are identified by the DEOs concerned (as per the number mentioned In annexure.)
  • An amount of Rs. 1.25 Crores has already been released to all District Educational Officers as per district wise NO.of schools are allotted. In turn, the District Educational Officers will release the budget to the Headmasters concerned.
  • In addition to the above grant, matching grant may be obtained from donors, old student associations etc..

      Hence all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers are requested to ensure to celebrate Ammaku Vandanam Program in all High Schools of their jurisdiction in a grand manner and to submit the documentation of the programme to this office without fail.
These instructions should be followed scrupulously.
