Impact on Recruitment, Seniority, Promotions and Transfers
Under paragraph 8 of the G.O., the respective contiguous District, Zone and Multi-Zone cadres will constitute separate units for appointment, recruitment, discharge, seniority, promotion, transfer and other service matters, in accordance with paragraph 5(1) of the Presidential Order, 2025.
The order also states that 95% reservation for local candidates applies to direct recruitment to posts filled through direct recruitment, as provided in the Presidential Order, 2025.
Implementation of GO 212
The Human Resources (School Education) Department is directed to take immediate action to amend relevant service rules in conformity with the approved cadre organisation and readjust territorial jurisdictions wherever required. The provisions of the Presidential Order, 2025 override inconsistent existing service rules to the extent of the inconsistency. The approval also covers posts that may be sanctioned from time to time.
