Andhra Pradesh SCERT Announces 3-Day State-Level Teacher Professional Development Training (July 2026)

 

The Department of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, under the leadership of the Director of School Education, Smt. Thameem Ansariya A, IAS, has officially announced a 3-day State Level Teacher Professional Development Training programme for Key Resource Persons (KRPs) at the primary level.

 

This comprehensive training initiative is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Academic Calendar 2026-27, aiming to strengthen foundational learning and curriculum implementation across the state.

 

Key Details of the Training Programme

  • Dates: 14th July 2026 to 16th July 2026.
  • Venue: SRM University, Amaravati, Mangalagiri, Guntur District.
  • Participants: Key Resource Persons (KRPs) at the Primary Level.

Training Objectives & Curriculum

The programme is designed to equip KRPs with advanced knowledge and strategies in several critical areas, including:

  • Academic Calendar & Curriculum Reforms: Updates and implementation strategies.
  • Assessment: Training on Student Assessment Booklets, CBA, and HPC patterns.
  • Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN): Strengthening the guaranteed FLN programme.
  • Digital Integration: Utilizing the LEAP App, DIKSHA platform, and PM e-Vidya resources.
  • Holistic Development: Library management, value education, and remedial activity planning.

Important Instructions for Participants

To ensure the success of this professional development initiative, all designated KRPs and relevant district officials must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Preparation: Participants are required to bring their respective textbooks, workbooks, and teacher handbooks to the venue.
  2. Reporting: Attendees must report to their selected venues by 9:00 AM on 14th July 2026 without fail.
  3. Digital Etiquette: Mobile phones must be kept in silent mode and deposited in classrooms, permitted for use only during designated break times.
  4. Exclusions: KRPs and DRPs currently participating in the Gnana Jyothi programme are exempt from these specific FLN Grade 3–5 training sessions.

Coordination and Support

The Department has established a robust monitoring and support structure. District Educational Officers (DEOs) and Additional Project Coordinators (APCs) are tasked with overseeing the logistics, venue arrangements, and the successful deputation of participants.


This training represents a significant step in enhancing the quality of primary education in Andhra Pradesh and ensuring that educators are well-prepared to implement the latest pedagogical advancements in the classroom.
