Empowering Education: 2-Day Professional Development Training for AP Teachers and Headmasters
The School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh, through the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), is taking a significant step forward in modernizing the state's educational landscape. A comprehensive 2-day District Level Teacher Professional Development Training Programme is scheduled for July 14th and 15th, 2026.
This initiative is designed to equip educators with the latest tools and pedagogical strategies to ensure the successful implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) and various statewide academic reforms.
Why This Training Matters
With the rapid evolution of school education in Andhra Pradesh, teachers and headmasters need to be well-versed in new systems that improve student outcomes. The training focuses on critical components, including:
- Curriculum Reforms & Academic Calendar 2026-27: Aligning classroom practices with state-level goals.
- Holistic Progress Card (HPC): Implementing a more comprehensive way to assess student growth.
- Digital Integration (LEAP App & PAL Labs): Leveraging technology for better classroom support and personalized learning.
- Assessment Strategies: Adopting the new Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) patterns.
Who Should Attend?
This non-residential training is aimed at District Resource Persons (DRPs), State Resource Persons (SRPs), and Secondary Level Headmasters across all 28 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
Training Schedule & Key Highlights
The training will be held across all district headquarters from 8:00 AM onwards on July 14, 2026.
For Teachers (Secondary Level)
- Day 1 Focus: Academic planning, effective use of Teacher Handbooks, Assessment Booklets, and the role of Artificial Intelligence in education.
- Day 2 Focus: Digital resources (DIKSHA, PM e-Vidya), Holistic Progress Cards, Bridge Courses, and the 100-Days Action Plan.
For Headmasters (Secondary Level)
- Day 1 Focus: Fundamental rules, leadership roles, emotional intelligence, and effective financial/resource management.
- Day 2 Focus: SMART leadership practices, school development plans, team building, and influencing school ecosystems for excellence.
