Implementing PRASHAST App 2.0: A Guide for Schools in Andhra Pradesh (2026-27)
The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has mandated the 100% screening of all students enrolled in schools for the Academic Year 2026-27 to identify Children with Special Needs (CwSN). To facilitate this, the State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, Andhra Pradesh, has issued directives for the implementation of the PRASHAST App 2.0.
This app is now integrated with UDISE+, providing a systematic way to screen, monitor, and identify children who require additional educational support.
Key Responsibilities for Schools and Staff:
To ensure the successful implementation of this initiative, all Headmasters, Principals, and teachers must adhere to the following guidelines:

Registration and Activation: Headmasters, Principals, Teachers, School Assistants in Special Education, and Inclusive Education Resource Persons (IERPs) at Bhavitha Centres must register and activate their accounts on PRASHAST App 2.0.

Mapping: Class Teachers and Special Educators must be properly mapped and assigned within the application.

Systematic Screening:

Part-I Screening: General Teachers are responsible for conducting this for all students in their respective classes.

Part-II Screening: School Assistants in Special Education and IERPs will conduct this as required.

Monitoring: Headmasters and Principals are personally responsible for monitoring the process to ensure 100% coverage of all enrolled students.
Activity-wise Timeline for 2026:
To achieve the targets set by the Government of India, the following timeline must be strictly followed:

Important Compliance Notes
This initiative is classified as MOST IMPORTANT. District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators are tasked with conducting capacity-building programs to ensure all stakeholders are familiar with the app. Furthermore, District IE Co-Ordinator's must submit weekly progress reports to the State Project Office.
