The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are invited to the references cited and they are requested to implement the following instructions to ensure smooth academic and administrative functioning in all schools during the academic year 2025-26:
Role of MPS Headmaster in Schools:
- Though the MPS Headmaster (MPSHM) post is allotted to the Model Primary School where the Upper Primary School is also functioning, irrespective of the posting of the MPS Headmaster, the senior-most School Assistant in the Upper Primary Section shall act as the Headmaster of that particular school.
- Though the MPS Headmaster (MPSHM) post is allotted to the Model Primary School where the upgraded High School without sanctioning of Headmaster post, irrespective of the posting of the MPS Headmaster, the senior-most School Assistant in the upgraded High School shall act as the Headmaster of that particular school.
- Though the MPS Headmaster (MPSHM) post is allotted to the Model Primary School where the High School is also functioning, irrespective of the posting of the MPS Headmaster, the Gr.II Headmaster in the High School shall act as the Headmaster of that particular school.
- The MPS Headmaster/ School Assistant in Model Primary School shall perform teaching duties on par with other teachers in the Primary school.
All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers are hereby instructed to take immediate necessary action in this matter and ensure strict supervision of the above instructions to avoid any academic or administrative disruption in schools.
