The attention of all the District Collectors in the State is invited to the reference 1st cited wherein, the Government in the Municipal Administration & Urban Development (K) Department has issued Operational Guidelines for conducting the third Saturday of every month as "Swachh Andhra" day.
Further, I wish to inform you that, since the commencement of this programme, the Revenue Department organizing well for the past nine months at the District, Divisional and Mandal levels across the State, ensuring massive participation in the "Swachh Andhra" programme and making it a grand success.
In the same manner, I trust to continue the same for the month of October, 2025 with the theme proposed as "CLEAN AIR" and the following are the Theme, Activity & Outcomes:
THEME: OCTOBER, 2025 "CLEAN AIR"
Concept communication: Mitigate Air Pollution and related health issues for citizens
ACTIVITY:
- Promoting Public transportation.
- Planting Trees.
- Car Free / Bike free days and cycling as healthy alternative.
- Renewable energy sources like Roof top solar etc.,
- Adopting cleaner industrial practices.
- Preventing stubble burning.
- Awareness campaigns on air pollution.
OUTCOMES:
- Improvement in Air-quality.
- Reduction in pollution related losses.
- More oxygen and healthier citizens.
- More walking and cycling creates healthier lifestyle.
- Awareness among all stake holders.
In view of the above, all the District Collectors are requested to continue with the same spirit and ensure the effective implementation of the "Swachh Andhra" programme in their respective Districts and adhere to the operational guidelines. It is also informed that the Nodal Officers are directed to upload relevant photographs and videos of the activities in the App developed and communicated earlier in the official groups of all Nodal Officers at the District, Divisional, and Mandal levels across the State.
