The attention of all the District Educational officers in the state is invited to the reference read above and they are informed that the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy Government of India, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)in association with National Council of Science Museums(NCSM),Ministry of Culture ,GOI and Vigyan Bharati, a non profit organization led by eminent scientists, is conducting the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (India’s Largest Science Talent Search Exam for New India using Digital Devices) for classes 6th to 11th (Intermediate First Year).

 

They are further informed that Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is a national level, unique, app based, science talent search examination that is conducted online. The registered students will be allowed to take exam from his/her own device, namely, a smart phone (mobile), laptop or desktop from his/her home. Exam will be conducted on windows and android platforms only. School level online examination (Level-1) will be conducted on 28^th,29^th and 30^th October,2025. The last date for registration is 30th September,2025.

విద్యార్థి విజ్ఞాన్ మంథన్ (VVM) అనేది 6 నుండి 11వ తరగతి విద్యార్థుల కోసం విజ్ఞాన భారతి (VIBHA) నిర్వహించే ఒక జాతీయ స్థాయి సైన్స్ ప్రతిభా అన్వేషణ కార్యక్రమం. ఇది భారతదేశంలో స్వచ్ఛమైన విజ్ఞాన శాస్త్రం పట్ల అవగాహన కల్పించి, ప్రతిభను వెలికితీయడానికి, మరియు శాస్త్రీయ ఆలోచనలను పెంపొందించడానికి ఉద్దేశించబడింది. ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని సైన్స్ అండ్ టెక్నాలజీ విభాగం లోని విజ్ఞాన్ ప్రసార్ మరియు విద్యా మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ ఆధ్వర్యంలోని NCERT సహకారంతో VIBHA నిర్వహిస్తుంది.

కార్యక్రమ వివరాలు: సంస్థాగత భాగస్వామ్యం: విజ్ఞాన భారతి (VIBHA), విజ్ఞాన్ ప్రసార్, మరియు NCERTలు ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని సంయుక్తంగా నిర్వహిస్తున్నాయి. పాల్గొనేవారు: 6 నుండి 11వ తరగతి వరకు పాఠశాల విద్యార్థులు ఇందులో పాల్గొనవచ్చు. కార్యక్రమం: ఇది జాతీయ స్థాయిలో డిజిటల్ ఆధారిత సైన్స్ టాలెంట్ సెర్చ్ పరీక్ష. ధ్యేయం: "రేపటి శాస్త్రీయ మేధావుల ఆవిష్కరణ" అనేది ఈ కార్యక్రమం యొక్క ప్రధాన ధ్యేయమని చెప్పబడింది.

VIDYARTHI VIGYAN MANTHAN (VVM) is a science based examination under the initiative of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), in collaboration with National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) an institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India and National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), an autonomous society under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

VVM is an international program designed for students of standard VI to XI, to identify and nurture highly talented students with a scientific aptitude. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) and aims to instill a sense of scientific heritage and temper in school students:

The main objectives of the VVM examination are:

• To create interest among students in basic science
• To educate school children about India's contributions to the world of science and technology, from the traditional to the modern age
• To provide hands-on learning to students through experimental skill tests.
• To conduct competitive exams to identity students who have & scientific bent of mind
• To provide mentors for preparing students to carry forward their education in the field of science
• To identify successful students at the Stats and National levels and felicitates them.
• To organize exposure visits for the winners to various R&C institutions in the country.
• To identify and nurture scientific aptitude through Its unique scholastic aptitude test.

Medium of Examination: The examination will be conducted in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Sanskrit and Urdu (major regional languages.

No student is allowed to log in before 10:00 AM or after 08:00 PM. Students can log in only once, either on day one or day two, according to the Level I / Level II examination schedule

Declaration of Result:

• Level 1: 7th November, 2025 
• Level II: 27th November, 2025

Fee: Students registering individually, or through school Will have to pay a fee of Rs 200-

VVM 2025-26 Schedule:

SCHOOL LEVEL ONLINE EXAMINATION (CLASS WISE): LEVEL-I

The Level-I school level examination will be of 1 hour 30 minutes duration with 100 multiple choice questions each weighted for one mark. Examination will consist of two segments viz.

Section-A: comprising 40 questions from study material Indian Contributions to Science and Life Story of Dr. Satyendra Nath Bose (to be provided by Vijnana Bharati) & Section-B: comprising 60 questions based on the VVM Syllabus (Based on Text Books of NCERT & various State Boards Curriculum) & Logic and Reasoning (open source). A detailed syllabus is provided on VVM's website

SCHOOL LEVEL ONLINE EXAMINATION (CLASS WISE): LEVEL-II

The Level-II school level examination will last for 45 minutes and will consist of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQs), each with multiple correct answers. Each question is worth 2 marks, and incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 0.5 marks (negative marking). The examination has two sections viz. Section-A: comprising 15 questions based on the study material covering "Indian Contributions to Science and the life story of Dr. Satyendra Nath Bose & Section-B: comprising 36 questions that align with the VVM Syllabus, taking content from NCERT textbooks, various state board curriculum, and incorporating questions related to logic and reasoning from open sources.

STATE LEVEL CAMP (SLC)

Level 3: Top 25 rankers from each class for every state will be identified to participate in the one or two-day State Level Camp (SLC). The camp will be organised at any location within the state. State Level Camp will consist of Application-Oriented Multiple Choice Questions, Hands-On Activities, Observation and Analysis, Situational Problem Solving Ability and a series of other activities.

NATIONAL CAMP (NC)

Level 4: The top two students from each class, i.e. total of 12 students from each state, will be invited to a two-day National Camp. National Camp (NC) will consist of Presentations, Activities to test Scientific Understanding, Innovation, Creativity, Out-of-Box Thinking and Assessment of Leadership Quality, in addition to the experimental skills tests.
