KOUSHAL 2025 Science Talent Test Registration, Syllabus, Material, Schedule KOUSHAL 2025-2026 conduct State Level Science Competition in November, 2025 for students studying Classes 8th to 10th in Government Managed Schools Certain Instructions

Bharatiya Vijnana Mandali, is conducting KOUSHAL a Science talent test covering all Government/ Zilla Parishad Schools in Andhra Pradesh. KOUSHAL-2018 received huge response from students from every corner of the Andhra Pradesh. Keeping in view of the interest & scientific tempo of students we are planning to take this science movement this year also. 

KOUSHAL a State Level Science Competition started in 2018 for Students of Government managed schools in Andhra Pradesh in association with APCOST, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Koushal is a unique platform for Government school students to explore, learn and compete in the field of science. This is a flagship competitive program organized by Bharatiya Vijnana Mandali which delivers challenging experience and ignites the rural young minds of Andhra Pradesh. Further, Koushal also encourages the children to solve problems with team spirit and makes them to discover the Indian contribution to the world in the field of science and technology. Koushal mainly helps to boost confidence and enable the rural students of Andhra Pradesh to realize their optimum potential.

The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the state is invited to the reference cited wherein, the National Secretary for Vijnana Bharathi has informed that, Bharatiya Vijnana Mandali is committed upon stimulating and strengthening the young minds of rural Andhra Pradesh through a State Level Science competition in the name of KOUSHAL, being organized in association with Science City, AP exclusively for the students of Govt managed Schools in Andhra Pradesh. Thus, requested to accord permission and extend cooperation for conduct of the aforementioned programme and also requested to sanction OD facility to the teachers involved in this activity.

 

Further informed that, the KOUSHAL 2025 will be organized in 3 phases, comprising a school level examination, a district level examination and a state level examination at Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan(BVS), NSU Tirupati and the Time­line for Koushal 2025 is as follows:

1. Preliminary Examination - School Level - Online examination dates: 1st, 3^rd & 4th of November, 2025.
2. Second Level (District) Examination dates: 27^th, & 28^th of November, 2025.
3. Prize distribution to District Level Winners: Any one day from 1s t to 5th December, 2025.
4. State Level: 27th December 2025

Therefore, all the District Educational Officers in the State are requested to issue instructions to all the field level functionaries and Headmasters of High Schools to conduct extensive awareness campaigns regarding KOUSHAL 2025 - State Level Science Competition among the students and ensure that all the eligible students are aware of the schedule and procedure of the competition.

 

All the District Educational Officers in the state are further requested to provide O.D. Facility to the identified teachers on the following dates (as per the list annexed to reference cited) for involving in the KOUSHAL 2025

• OD facility for State, Academic, and District Coordinators to take up outreach and registration activity for any 3 days during 10^th Oct to 22^nd Oct, 2025.
• OD facility on 27^th and 28^th Nov, 2025 to organize a sensitization program to participate in the State level competition for the shortlisted (Rank) students of the district in their headquarters.
• OD facility to all Districts, State Coordinators & Academic Team Members to attend State level competition on 27^th December 2025.

The test is organized at free of cost for the students studying in Government and Aided Schools and no financial aspects are involved in the conduct of the merit tests. The organizers shall not use the information pertaining to the students and the test for any profit motive or other activities without the explicit approval of the department.

అర్హులు: 8,9,10 తరగతుల విద్యార్థులు. తరగతికి ముగ్గురు విద్యార్థులకు మాత్రమే

సిలబస్: 8,9,10 తరగతుల గణితం, విజ్ఞాన శాస్త్రం, సాంఘిక శాస్త్రం మరియు "విజ్ఞాన శాస్త్ర రంగంలో భారతీయుల కృషి"

10 తరగతి నుండి ఇద్దరు విద్యార్థులు మాత్రమే నమోదు కావలెను.

Guidelines for QUIZ Competition:

Structure of the Competition

Level 1: School Level Competition (online)

• The Preliminary Examination at the school level for all classes will be conducted online using digital devices, supervised by School Coordinators.
• Subjects: Mathematics, Science, Social Studies (Geography) from their respective class (AP State Syllabus of this Academic Year) Bharat Darshan & Indian Contributions to science.
• The exam paper consists of 45 Questions and the exam duration will be 60 minutes.
• In each district, the top 20 quiz-enrolled students from each class will be selected for the next round.
• The top 20 Reel-enrolled students from each Class X will be selected for the next round.
• The top 20 Poster 1-enrolled students from Class VIII will advance to the next round.
• The top 20 Poster 2-enrolled students from Class IX will advance to the next round.

Level 2: District Level Competition

• For Level 1 qualified students from classes 8th, 9th, and 10th, an online written test will be conducted using digital devices.
• The District Level Examination will be conducted online using digital devices, supervised by District Coordinators.
• Subjects: Mathematics, Science, Social Studies (Geography) from their respective class (AP State Syllabus of this Academic Year) Bharat Darshan & Indian Contributions to Science.
• The exam paper consists of 60 Questions and the exam duration will be 60 minutes.
• The top two students from each category (Reels, Poster 1 and Poster 2) at the District Level will qualify to participate in the State Level Event.

Level 3: State Level Competition

• QUIZ: The top two quiz-enrolled students from each class (total of 06) selected at the District Level from each district will be allowed to participate in the State Level Koushal Competition.
• Poster 1: Top two Class - VIII students from each district will be awarded 1st and 2nd Prize and also allowed to participate in the State Event.
• Poster 2: Top two Class - IX students from each district will be awarded 1st and 2nd Prize and also allowed to participate in the State Event.
• Reels: Top two Class - X students from each district will be awarded 1st and 2nd Prize and also allowed to participate in the State Event.
• QUIZ at state level will be conducted using a projector.
• The rules will be announced at the venue.
• The decision of the organizing team, quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.

All participants are here by instructed to follow the rules and regulations mentioned below Participants must ensure that they abide by all the rules and regulations

• Size of the Poster Half chart (22x15 inches) or (55 88438.1cm)

Note : At the chart size 1 or 2 cm above or below no issue

• Materials Allowed card board / chart / cloth paper / or any ecofriendly materials, Natural Colors, Sketches, Pencil, paper cuttings, etc 
• Prohibited materials, flex, vinyl, thermocol, etc pollutants
• Poster 1, Poster 2 and Reels should reflect any one of the respective given themes.
• The language of explanation may be either in Telugu or English
• No Project type materials or kits allowed for presentation

Online Examination

• Online examination in two levels (school and district) using digital devices will be conducted through Code Tantra Online Examination Platform.

KOUSHAL competition is based on the State Board syllabus and 80% of the questions will be from Physical Science, Biological Science and Mathematics Textbooks of 8th,9th & 10th Standards. Remaining 20% of the questions will be on Indian Contributions to Science.
