The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the state is invited to the reference read above and they are informed that, it is proposed to conduct a One - Day Orientation Programme on “Effects and Consequences of Substance Abuse and Social Media on Adolescents” on 20.08.2025 at SALT Building, Vijayawada. The programme is intended to sensitize school Heads to the psychological, behavioral, and social impacts of substance abuse and excessive or unsafe social media use among adolescents, particularly in secondary schools. It aims to equip participants with the necessary skills for early identification, counseling, referral, and school-based preventive strategies.
All the District Education Officers are further informed to nominate two Headmasters of Secondary schools (Govt/ZP/Municipal/Aided) from each district to attend a one-day Orientation Programme. RJDSEs are requested to oversee and support the smooth coordination of nominations and participation in their respective regions.
The program will be held in physical mode, and TA (as per norms) will be provided to participants. Working lunch and training materials will be arranged at the venue. Participation in this orientation is mandatory, and participants must report to the training venue by 9:00 AM sharp. The Head Masters shall further disseminate the learning to fellow staff at the district/school level whenever they are asked to deliver. The attention of all the District Educational Officers and DIET Principals in the State is invited to the reference read above and they are informed that it is proposed to conduct a One - Day Orientation Programme to Women Teachers on on "Issues, Concerns, and Themes of Population & Health and hygiene in Adolescent girls” working in Government schools on 21.08.2025 at SALT Office, Vijayawada. This programme aims to enhance awareness and pedagogical readiness among teachers to effectively implement adolescent education and health & wellness components aligned with the objectives of NEP 2020.
