Upgradation of 3 KGBVs as Junior Colleges - Guidelines and List G.O.Ms.No.39

ORDER:

In the references 1^st and 2^nd read above, Government have accorded permission to upgrade the 26 KGBVs as junior colleges by starting Intermediate first year for the academic year 2018-19 and second year for the academic year 2019-20 with M.P.C, Bi.P.C, M.E.C and C.E.C with 40 students in each group.

1. In the reference 3^rd read above, the State Project Director, SSA, A.P., has informed that Government of India have considered for upgradation of 31 KGBVs into Intermediate including the above 26 KGBVs in the PAB 2018-19 and approved for recurring and non-recurring cost to the 31 KGBVs for XI and XII classes. Therefore, the State Project Director, SSA, AP has requested the Government to permit him to upgrade the following 5 KGBVs as junior colleges in addition to above 26 KGBVs to start intermediate courses with the following groups with 80 students.
2. The State Project Director, SSA, AP has further requested the Government to permit him to include HEC group in 3 KGBVs [(i.e Kukunur (West Godavari), Gangavaram (Chittoor) and Chagalamarri (Kurnool)] in addition to the 4 groups i.e. MPC, BiPC, MEC and CEC already permitted.

     3.  Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord permission to the State Project Director, SSA, AP to start XI Class for the academic year 2018-19 and XII Class for 2019-20 in 5 KGBVs mentioned at para (2) above with the Bi.P.C. and MPC groups with the number of students indicated against each group, in addition to 26 KGBVs already sanctioned in G.O.Ms.No.12, SE(Prog.II) Dept., dt.6.2.2018 read with G.O.Ms.No.15, SE(Prog.II) Dept., dt.5.3.2018. He is also permitted to include HEC group in 3 KGBVs i.e. Kukunur (West Godavari), Gangavaram (Chittoor) and Chagalamarri (Kurnool) in addition to the 4 groups i.e. MPC, Bi.P.C, MEC and CEC already permitted. After starting XI class for the academic year 2018-19 and XII class for 2019-20 in 31 KGBVs, the nomenclature will be as “KGBV Junior colleges.”

      The State Project Director, SSA, A.P shall take further necessary action accordingly in the matter.
