NTSE November 2018 First Level Notification - Schedule - Syllabus - online Application - Previous papers

  • National Talent Search Examination (First Level) is conducted by Directorate of Government Examinations, A.P., Hyderabad as per directions of NCERT, New Delhi every year in the month of November along with NMMS Examination.
  • All students in the state who are studying X Standard in any of the recognized schools can write the examination.
  • The number of scholarships will be allocated by NCERT every year. The candidates will be selected to the Second Level basing on the merit and as per the reservation norms given by NCERT.
  • 1000 candidates every year are being selected in Second Level Examination all over the country.
  • Scholarship will be paid by the NCERT, New Delhi. Rs.1250/- per month for Intermediate 1st and 2nd years. Rs.2000/- per month up to Post Graduation. For Ph.D as per UGC norms.

Qualifying Marks: Qualifying marks for candidates from SC/ST/PH category is 32% in each paper and for others (General/aBC) categories it is 40% in each paper.
Selection: Stage-I, selection will be done by States/UTs and those who are selected/recommended from Stage-I examination, will be eligible to appear for Stage-II examination, conducted by NCERT.

Important Dates: Dates for submission of application form and conduct of examination, are given below:

Eligibility: All students of Class X studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the Stage-I examination, conducted by the StateslUTs, in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction. .," Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible for scholarship, provided the student is below the age of 18 years (as on 1st July of the particular year), the student is not employed and she/he is appearing in class X examination for the first time.
