AP Pensioners Additional Quantum of Pension Revised Rates 2026 – 70 Years 10% & 75 Years 15% – G.O.Ms.No.126

Latest Update: Government of Andhra Pradesh has restored the Additional Quantum of Pension / Family Pension for eligible pensioners/family pensioners to 10% on completion of 70 years and 15% on completion of 75 years through G.O.Ms.No.126, dated 22-09-2026.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh, Finance (HR.III-Pension & GPF) Department has issued G.O.Ms.No.126 dated 22 September 2026 regarding restoration of the rates of Additional Quantum of Pension/Family Pension for pensioners and family pensioners on completion of 70 years and 75 years of age.

The rates at these two age slabs, which were earlier 7% and 12% respectively under G.O.Ms.No.30 dated 20-02-2022, have now been restored to 10% and 15%.

Additional Quantum of Pension Revised Rates 2026

As per G.O.Ms.No.126, the revised Additional Quantum of Pension/Family Pension rates are as follows:

Important: Only the rates applicable at the ages of 70 years and 75 years have been restored. The existing Additional Quantum rates applicable from 80 years onwards remain unchanged.

What Has Changed Under G.O.Ms.No.126?

Earlier, G.O.Ms.No.6, Finance (PENSION-I) Department, dated 12-01-2019 had provided Additional Quantum of Pension/Family Pension at the rate of 10% of basic pension on completion of 70 years and 15% of basic pension on completion of 75 years.

Subsequently, after implementation of the 11th Pay Revision Commission Revised Pay Scales, 2022 and issue of subsequent orders, the rates applicable at 70 and 75 years were revised to 7% and 12% respectively under G.O.Ms.No.30 dated 20-02-2022.

Following representations from the Andhra Pradesh Pensioners' Associations, Amaravati, the Government examined the matter along with the financial implications and decided to restore the earlier rates.

70 Years Pensioners – Additional Quantum Increased to 10%

For eligible pensioners/family pensioners who have completed 70 years of age, the Additional Quantum has been restored from 7% to 10% of Basic Pension.

70 Years:

75 Years Pensioners – Additional Quantum Increased to 15%

For eligible pensioners/family pensioners who have completed 75 years of age, the Additional Quantum has been restored from 12% to 15% of Basic Pension.

From Which Date Are the Revised Rates Applicable?

The restored Additional Quantum rates of 10% at 70 years and 15% at 75 years shall take effect from the pension for the month of December 2026, which is payable on 01-01-2027.

Rates From 80 Years Onwards – No Change

G.O.Ms.No.126 clearly states that the existing rates of Additional Quantum of Pension/Family Pension applicable from the age of 80 years onwards will remain unchanged.

GO 126 – Implementation

The Government has directed the Director of Treasuries and Accounts, Andhra Pradesh to take the necessary further action for implementation of these orders and for payment of the revised Additional Quantum of Pension/Family Pension to all eligible pensioners/family pensioners.

The other terms and conditions contained in G.O.Ms.No.30, Finance (HR.III-Pension & GPF) Department, dated 20-02-2022, and other orders issued from time to time will continue to apply except to the extent modified by G.O.Ms.No.126.
