ISRO YUVIKA 2026: Notification, Online Registration, ISRO "Young Scientist Programme" "YUva VIgyani KAryakram Schedule, Eligibility, Online Application
Indian Space Research Organisation is organising a special programme for School Children called "Young Scientist Programme" "YUva VIgyani KAryakram”, YUVIKA, to impart basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger students in emerging trends in space science and technology amongst the youngsters, who are the future building blocks of our nation. ISRO has chalked out this programme to "Catch them young". The programme is also expected to encourage more students to pursue in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based research /career.

Ref: ISRO notification on Young Scientist Programme (YUVIKA-2026)
All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education (RJDSEs) and District Educational Officers (DEOs) in the State are hereby informed that the Indian Space Research Organisation is conducting the Young Scientist Programme (YUVIKA-2026) for school students. The programme is aimed at promoting interest in Space Science and Technology among students and encouraging them to pursue STEM careers. As such, the following slew of instructions are issued:
- All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education (RJDSEs) and District Educational Officers (DEOs) shall circulate the information regarding YUVIKA-2026 to all High Schools under their jurisdiction immediately.
- Headmasters shall identify eligible students studying in Class IX and provide necessary guidance for successful registration through the official website of Indian Space Research Organisation (www.isro.gov.in).
- All eligible students shall be encouraged to apply online on or before 31.03.2026 without fail.
- Schools shall ensure that students download the Bonafede certificate, get it duly signed by the Principal, and upload it during registration.
- Special emphasis shall be given to students from rural and Government schools to ensure equitable participation.
- Headmasters shall ensure that students' participation in Science Fairs, Olympiads, Sports, and other co-curricular activities is properly documented, as these carry weightage in the selection process.
- District Educational Officers shall closely monitor the registration progress and submit a compliance report to the higher authorities within the stipulated time.
Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are requested to take necessary action and ensure maximum participation of eligible students in this prestigious programme.

ఇస్రో పిలుస్తోంది..వెళ్దాం రండి తొమ్మిదో తరగతి విద్యార్థులకు అవకాశం
అంతరిక్ష విజ్ఞానంపై విద్యార్థులకు అవగాహన కల్పించేందుకు అంతరిక్ష పరిశోధన సంస్థ(ఇస్రో) ఏటా యువ విజ్ఞాన కార్యక్రమం(యువికా) నిర్వహిస్తోంది. ఈ ఏడాది చేపట్టబోయే కార్యక్రమం కోసం దేశవ్యాప్తంగా తొమ్మిదో తరగతి విద్యార్థులను ఆహ్వానిస్తోంది. ఆ సంగతులేంటో తెలుసుకుందాం రండి.
అంతరిక్ష పరిశోధనల్లో ఇటీవల ఇస్రో వంద ప్రయోగాలు పూర్తి చేసుకుంది. అగ్రదేశాలకు దీటుగా భారత్ పలు పరిశోధనలు చేపడుతోంది. ఈ విజ్ఞానాన్ని విద్యార్థులకు తెలియజెప్పేందుకు, వారిలో స్ఫూర్తి నింపేందుకు ఇస్రో ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని చేపడుతోంది.
విద్యార్థులు మార్చి 31వ తేదీలోగా www.isro.gov.in లో దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చు. వచ్చిన దరఖాస్తుల వడపోత అనంతరం ఏప్రిల్ 13న ఎంపికైన విద్యార్థుల జాబితా విడుదల చేస్తారు. మే 11 నుంచి విద్యార్థులను ఆహ్వానిస్తారు. మే 11 నుంచి 22 వరకు యువికా-25 కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహిస్తారు. మే 22న ముగింపు కార్యక్రమం ప్రతిభ చూపిన విద్యార్థులకు బహుమతులు అందజేస్తారని జిల్లా సైన్స్ అధికారి జీవీఎన్ఎస్ నెహ్రూ తెలిపారు.
9 కేంద్రాల్లో నిర్వహణ
ఇస్రో ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఏడు కేంద్రాల్లో చేపడుతోంది. డెహ్రాడూన్ (ఉత్తరాఖండ్), తిరువనంతపురం (కేరళ), సూళ్లూరుపేట (ఏపీ), బెంగళూరు (కర్ణాటక), అహ్మదాబాద్ (గుజరాత్), హైదరాబాద్ (తెలంగాణ), షిల్లాంగ్ (మేఘాలయ), మహేంద్రగిరి (ఒరిస్సా), జోధ్పూర్ (రాజస్థాన్)
అన్నీ ఉచితంగానే:
ఇస్రో నిర్వహించే యువికా కార్యక్రమానికి ఎంపికైన విద్యార్థులకు ప్రయాణం, భోజన, వసతి సౌకర్యాలను ఇస్రో ఉచితంగా అందజేస్తుంది. ఎంపికైన విద్యార్థులను మే నెలలో 14 రోజులపాటు ఇస్రోకు చెందిన స్పేస్ సెంటర్లకు తీసుకెళ్తారు. అక్కడ సైన్స్కు సంబంధించిన వింతలు, విశేషాలు, సప్తగ్రహ కూటమి తదితర అంశాలపై శాస్త్రవేత్తలు అవగాహన కల్పిస్తారు. శాస్త్రవేత్తలతో మాట్లాడే అవకాశం విద్యార్థులకు కల్పిస్తారు.
ఎవరు అర్హులు:
ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రైవేటు పాఠశాలలకు చెందిన తొమ్మిదో తరగతి చదువుతున్న విద్యార్థులు ఎవరైనా దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చు. 8వ తరగతిలో సాధించిన మార్కులకు 50 శాతం వెయిటేజీ ఇస్తారు. స్పేస్, సైన్సు క్లబ్లలో ఉంటే 5 శాతం, జిల్లా, రాష్ట్ర, జాతీయ, అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో వ్యాసరచన, వక్తృత్వ పోటీల్లో ప్రతిభ చూపితే 10 శాతం, ఎన్సీసీ, స్కౌట్స్ అండ్ గైడ్స్ విభాగాల్లో ఉంటే 5 శాతం, పల్లె ప్రాంతాలకు చెందిన వారికి 20 శాతం ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తారు.
The selection of participants in YUVIKA-2026 will be carried out on the basis of following parameters:
