All the District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the reference 1st cited, wherein it is informed that the above normal temperatures have been recorded in many places in the state and informed that 2-3 degrees of temperature will be increased in the coming two days in Rayalaseema and Coasta Andhra areas and advised the people to be more cautious about exposure to the direct sunlight.
Understanding the implications of high temperatures and the associated risks of dehydration, the Department has proposed the implementation of "water-bell" in all schools across the state. This initiative aims to promote hydration among students during school hours to safeguard their mental and physical health.
Under the proposed activity, a special bell will ring thrice a day at 8:45 am, 10:05 am, and 11:50 am in all schools state wide. The purpose of this bell is to remind both students and teachers to drink water and prioritize hydration for better health outcomes. Teachers should ensure that all students drink water during this designated times.
Therefore, all the District Educational Officers in the State are requested to instruct all the Headmasters of schools under their jurisdiction to implement the concept of the "water-bell" as compulsory activity. This proactive measure will contribute significantly for ensuring the well-being of students, especially during the hot summer months.
