ANUEET 2024 Notification  Acharya Nagarjuna University Engineering Entrance Test - 2024 is being conducted through computer based test by Acharya Nagarjuna University Guntur for entry into the first year of the Engineering Graduation and Engineering Post Graduation for the academic year 2024-2025. Candidates who wish to apply shall submit their application through online mode only from 06-02-2024 onwards. The last date for submission without late fee is 10-03-2024. Date of Entrance Test (Tentatively) will be held on 07.04.2024

GENERAL:

  1. Directorate of Admissions, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur invites applications from eligible candidates for admission into various B.Tech.+M.Tech courses offered at Dr. YSR ANU Engineering & Technology College in self support mode for the academic year 2024-25.
  2. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the ANUEET-2024 Information Brochure available in Acharya Nagarjuna University Website anu.ac.in or www.anucet.in
  3. Courses offered, their eligibility criteria, details of seats available are given in Annexure - I
  4. The applicant should claim admission under the appropriate categories of reservation by clicking the relevant boxes in the online application form. Requests for inclusion or change of category will not be entertained later under any The application will be processed as per the claim of the candidate only and the admission will be subjected to the validity of their claims.
  5. The reservation policy of the Government of P. that is in vogue in respect of SC, ST, BCs, EWS, CAP, PH, NCC and Sports categories will be followed in the process of admissions.
  6. Mere appearance in the test does not automatically guarantee right of admission into the course. A candidate seeking admission into a particular course has to fulfill the eligibility criteria specified for that course.
  7. In case of candidates who belong to reserved categories 5% of relaxation in marks in the qualifying examination wherever applicable will be allowed.
  8. Hostel accommodation is available for candidates admitted into Dual Degree courses.
  9. The university reserves the right to fill or not to fill the seats earmarked for a particular course on administrative reasons. All admissions are purely provisional and the University reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage. Further it also reserves the right to run or not to run a particular course depending on the number of candidates joined in it. A minimum of 10 candidates should join in any course under Self Support mode to run it.
  10. All disputes pertaining to the admissions shall fall within the court’s Jurisdiction of Guntur only whether regular or consumer courts.

COURSES OFFERED:

B.Tech + M.Tech Dual Degree Programmes (with Entrance test Annexure -II for Syllabus)
  • Admissions into Tech.+M.Tech. Dual Degree Programmes will be processed as per rank obtained in the Entrance Test conducted by Directorate of Admissions, A.N.U.
  • The Candidates admitted in B.Tech + M.Tech Dual Degree Programmes can avail exit option afterthe completion of 4 Years course period, by paying 10,000/- as exit fee. Such candidates will be considered for B.Tech. alone, and not for PG.

HOW TO APPLY:

SUBMISSION OF FILLED IN APPLICATIONS THROUGH ONLINE: Applications should be submitted through online only.

For online submission of application, visit the Website www.anucet.in A candidate has to pay Rs.1,200/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/ST/PH) (Plus Bank charges applicable for the mode of payment selected) as Registration and Application Processing Fee (and late fee if applicable) by opting any of the following modes of payments: (a) State Bank of India (b)Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking. After filling the online Application form with the required details, verify all the details carefully and press Submit button. Filled in Application Form will be generated that contains Application number along with filled details. Take print out of filled in Online Application Form. Use the Application number for future correspondence till the admission process is completed.


The candidate is required to take a printout of the Filled In Online Application Form and it is to be submitted to the Invigilator during the examination after affixing a recent color photograph duly attested by the Gazetted Officer or Principal of the College where the candidate has studied qualifying examination. The candidate should use the Registration Number for future correspondence. Mere appearance and qualifying at ANUEET-2024 does not confer any right for admission into professional courses. The candidate has to fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down in the relevant G.O at the time of admission.


The following information must be kept ready for filling the details in online application form and submission
  1. Hall-Ticket Number of Qualifying Examination.
  2. Percentage of marks and year of Passing of Qualifying Examination, if passed.
  3. Date of Birth as per SSC records.
  4. Caste in case of SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates.

  6. Study or Residence (from R.O) or relevant certificate for proof of local status.

GENERAL INFORMATION / INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. The University reserves the right to reject the application of a candidate at any stage, if a) The candidate fails to satisfy the prescribed eligibility b) False or incorrect information is furnished.
  2. Any change whatsoever, including that of caste/community status or category, shall not be permitted to be made in the filled in application once it is received by the No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  3. The University is not responsible for non-submission of application within the notified date and time for any reason whatsoever.
  4. The candidate should PRESERVE THE HALL TICKET to produce it at the time of test and later at the time of admission into the course
  5. The appearance at ANUEET-2024 does not entitle any candidate to be considered for admission into the Course automatically.
  6. For NCC/Sports categories, the certificates obtained during the period of qualifying examination alone are considered.

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED.


MEDIUM OF ENTRANCE TEST: The question paper contains questions in the “English”

  1. Candidates should mention the Centre code and name of his / her choice in application form. Request for change of Test Centre opted by the candidate in the application form will not be considered under any circumstances.
  2. Acharya Nagarjuna University reserves the right to: (i) allot a Centre other than the candidate’s choice, (ii) conduct or not to conduct the test and (iii) cancel a Test - Centre based on the number of candidates opted for the Test Centre.
  3. If less than 50 (fifty) number of candidates are registered in any one examination center, then examination will not be conducted in such The nearest centre will be allotted to the candidates registered for that centre.

TEST PROCEDURE:

GUIDELINES TO CANDIDATES

  1. Please check the Hall ticket carefully for your Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, Test Centre Name, Date, and Time of examination.
  2. Candidates are advised to reach the venue at least one hour before the examination.
  3. The candidate must show, on demand, the Hall Ticket for admission in the examination room/hall. A candidate who does not possess the Hall Ticket issued by the Convener, ANUEET-2024, shall not be permitted for the examination under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.
  4. No candidate, under any circumstances, will be allowed to enter the Examination Centre after the commencement of the examination.
  5. A seat indicating the Hall Ticket number will be allocated to each candidate. Candidates should find out and occupy their allotted seats Any candidate found to have changed room or the seat on his/her own other than allotted, his/her candidature shall be canceled and no plea would be accepted for it.
  6. No Candidate will be allowed to carry any baggage inside the Examination Centre. The Convener, ANUEET-2024 will not be responsible for any belongings stolen or lost at the premises.
  7. Smoking and eating are strictly prohibited in the examination room.
  8. Tea, coffee, cool drinks, or snacks are not allowed to be taken into the examination rooms during examination hours.
  9. Approach the Centre Superintendent/Invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid emergency, or any other information during the examination.
  10. No candidate, without the special permission of the Centre Superintendent or the Invigilator concerned, will leave his/her seat or Examination Room until the full duration of the Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as instructed by the Centre Superintendent/Invigilators.
  11. For any queries or issues regarding examination, the candidates may contact helpline numbers which will be available on the https://anucet.in website.

Candidates are required to bring the following to the examination center:

  1. Hall Ticket,
  2. Filled in Online Application Form,
  3. A good Ball Point Pen (for rough work, working sheets will be provided by the Test Centre) and
  4. Attested copy of Caste certificate (in case of SC/ST category candidates only).

Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, Calculators, Docu Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device, except the Hall Ticket, document as required under point no. 2.(e) inside the Examination Room/Hall. If any candidate is in possession of any of the above items, his/her candidature will be treated as an unfair means and his/her current examination will be canceled & he/she will also be debarred for future examination(s) & the equipment will be seized.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXAMINATION

The Examination will be conducted as per the schedule.

  1. The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Hall Ticket and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.
  2. The Entrance test is conducted for duration of 90 minutes and the question paper consists of a total of 100 questions comprising 40 questions in Mathematics, 30 questions in Physics, and 30 questions in Chemistry. All questions Carry have equal weightage.
  3. There is only one correct response for each question out of four responses given.
  4. There is no negative marking and No deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated for a question.
  5. All calculations/writing work is to be done only in the rough sheet provided at the center and on completion of the test, candidates must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the Room/Hall. The candidates shall write their Hall Ticket number on the rough sheets used by
  6. During the examination time, the invigilator will check the Hall ticket of the candidate to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate.
  7. The candidates are governed by all Rules and Regulations of the Convener, ANUEET-2024 with regard to their conduct in the Examination All cases of unfair means will be dealt with as per rules.
  8. The candidates must sign and give his/her Left Hand Thumb impression on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place.
  9. Candidates are advised to come to the examination hall at least one hour before the commencement of the Test.
  10. Candidates will not be allowed into the examination hall without hall-ticket and /or after the commencement of the They will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the stipulated time.
  11. Calculator, pages, cellular phone, books papers, logarithm tablets, slide-rule or any other calculating aids are NOT ALLOWED into the examination hall.
  12. The Chief Superintendent of the test centre can take disciplinary action on candidates involved in indiscipline, malpractice, impersonation, etc, and the answer scripts of such candidates will not be valued.

RANK :

  1. All candidates appeared for the Entrance Test will be awarded ANUEET-2024 Rank as per marks secured in the test appeared.
  2. In case of a tie between candidates securing the same marks, the order of merit will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in Part-A of the Test. In case of a further tie, the marks obtained by the candidate in Part-B shall be taken into account. In case of a further tie, the marks obtained by the candidate in Part-C shall be taken into account if the tie continues, the date of birth of the candidate shall be taken into account, with priority to older candidate.
  3. Rank card shall be downloaded from the website: anucet.in
  4. There is no provision for revaluation or personal verification of the answer.

ADMISSION INFORMATION:

  1. Admission shall be based on the ANUEET-2024 Rank, subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria as given in Annexure - I.
  2. The admission schedule will be made available in the website.
  3. The university shall not be responsible for either non-receipt or delayed receipt of communications in this regard.
  4. Information regarding course-wise and reservation category-wise seat to distribution will be made available after declaration of ANUEET-2024 results on the website anucet.in
  5. Candidates should upload the following certificates in support of the qualification and reservations claimed in the application for verification.
    • ANUEET-2024 Rank card & Hall Ticket.
    • Intermediate original certificate.
    • Consolidated Marks statement of the Qualifying Examination.
    • Transfer and Conduct Certificate from the institution where the candidate last studied.
    • Date of Birth Certificate (SSC/Matriculation or equivalent Certificate)
    • Migration Certificate, (if applicable)
    • Study Certificates for the last seven years or Residence Certificate for proceeding seven years of the qualifying examination.
    • Integrated Community Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC/EWS/ minority Candidates.
    • Candidates opting for admission under NCC/Sports/CAP/PH category, shall produce relevant certificate, in addition to the above.
    • Discharge certificate and service certificate of the parent in case of a child of armed personnel.
    • Physical fitness certificate from an Civil Surgeon.
  6. Candidates seeking admission under Special Categories like NSS/NCC/PH/Sports/CAP should attend for physical verification by the concerned officers/ Doctors as per the schedule.
  7. The applications of those candidates waiting for revaluation results will not be considered for admission.
  8. The university reserves the right to deny entry into ANUEET-2024 if the University finds the antecedents of the candidate are If the University finds the antecedents of the candidates are bad subsequent to the appearance of ANUEET-2024, his/her rank can be cancelled and the candidate can be denied admission into any program under ANUEET-2024 or admission can be cancelled even if admission is given.  All the admissions are purely provisional and the university reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage.
  9. Candidates should produce original certificates for verification after the provisional allotment, at the office of the Principal, Dr. YSR ANU College of Engineering & Technology (A). completion of first phase and 80% refund before completion of second phase counseling and with no fee refund after second phase of counseling.

RESERVATION OF SEATS:


Admission into various courses of study shall be made on the basis of ANUEET-2024 Rank and eligibility criteria subject to the rule of reservation as detailed below:


 LOCAL CANDIDATES:


In every course of study 85% of the available seats in each course and category are reserved in favour of the Local Candidates from the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Guntur, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam.


A candidate shall be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area (AU/OU/SVU); If he/she has studied in an educational institution or educational institutions in such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be;

                                                                                                       OR

Where, during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years in which he/she appeared, or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in any educational institutions, if he/she resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the relevant qualifying examination in which he/she appeared, or first appeared, as the case may be.


A candidate who is not regarded as local candidate under clause (1.1) above in relation to any local area shall be regarded as a local candidate of AU/OU/SVU. If he/she has studied in the educational institutions in the state for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to

  • Such local area where he/she has studied for the maximum period out of the period of seven years;

                                                     OR

  • Where the period of his/her study in two or more local areas is equal, such local area where he/she studied last in such equal periods;

                                             OR

If during the whole or any part of the seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examinations, he/she not studied in the educational institutions, in any local area, but has resided in the State during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as a local Candidate in relation to (i) Such local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out of the said period of seven years; or (ii) Where the period of his/her residence in two or more local areas is equal, such local area where he/she has resided last in such equal periods.


The remaining 15% of seats can be completed by the categories mentioned below:

  1. All candidates defined as “Locals” of Acharya Nagarjuna University area, and
  2. The following categories of candidates who are defined as “Non-locals” for the present purpose: (i) All candidates, who are locals for Osmania and Sri Venkateswara University areas. (ii) Candidates who have resided in the State of Andhra Pradesh for a total period of ten years, excluding periods of study outside the State; or either of whose parents have resided in the State for a period of ten years excluding periods of employment outside the (iii) Candidates who are spouses/children of those in the employment of the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, Educational Institutions recognized by the Government and similar State or quasi Government Institutions within the State. A Certificate to that effect from the Head of the Institution or Department should be enclosed.(G.O.No.646 dated : 10.07.1979)

OTHER CATEGORIES OF RESERVATION:

The allocation of percentage of seats as detailed below is as per G.O.M.S.No.184, Education (EC-2) Department, dt.20-8-1993, and G.O.M.S.No.116 SW (CV-1) dt. 10-12-1999 as amended up to date:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC):15%; Scheduled Tribes (ST): 6%; Listed Backward Classes: 29% (A-7%, B-10%, C-1%, D-7%, E-4% ) and EWS 10% Supernumerary.
  • NCC: 1%; Sports: 5%; Children of Armed Forces Personnel (CAP): 2% of seats be filled by horizontal method of reservation. This reservation is applicable for local candidates only.
  • PH: 3% of seats be filled by following horizontal method of reservation. In the absence of suitable PH candidates in the respective categories, those seats will be filled-in with other candidates of the same category. This reservation is applicable for local candidates only.
  • 33% of the seats in each course shall be reserved in favour of women candidates in each category. This rule of reservation shall not be applicable if women candidates selected on merit in each category form 33.33% or more of the seats therein. In the absence of eligible women candidates in categories of SC, ST, BC Groups A, B, C, D, E, those seats will be filled in with men candidates of the same category. (G.O.M.S.no.184, dt. 20-8-1993);
  • The number of seats reserved under various categories shall be calculated on the total seats available in the respective units given below as per the existing rules of the respective universities: If there is any fraction in the calculation of seats under reservation for various categories, it should be rounded off to the nearest number without affecting the sanctioned strength. B.Tech.+M.Tech. Dual Degree Programmes offered in Dr. YSR ANU College of Engineering & Technology are taken as one unit each.
  • 5% supernumerary seats in each course are available to candidates belonging to Other States. To consider a candidate under Other States category, the candidate should have studied in any state other than A.P. and be a native of a place outside A.P.
  • 15% supernumerary seats are available to foreign students in each course as per the O.No.F.1-30/94 (CPP-11) of UGC subject to their eligibility. Such candidates need not appear for the Entrance Test. Their applications will be considered through the Dean, International Affairs, Acharya Nagarjuna University under separate fee structure applicable to foreign students.

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION TO RESERVED SEATS:

  • SC, ST ,BC’s (A, B, C, D, E ) & EWS seats will be filled as per the order of merit (Rank) in each category.
  • In case of special categories, University will constitute expert committees with competent authorities and they will fix the priority.

GENERAL REGULATIONS DURING STUDY OF THE COURSE:

  1. As per the UGC guidelines all Candidates admitted into the various courses of study are required to put in a minimum of 75% of class room Candidates not securing a minimum of 75% attendance should repeat the course. The name of a student who continuously remains absent for a period of 10 days from the date of admission without valid reason and intimation to the concerned Head of the department shall be removed from the rolls.
  2. Candidates admitted into full-time (day) courses should not undertake any assignment / employment or study any other course simultaneously (except evening diploma course where he/she has to get no objection certificate) and any violation leads to cancellation of admission.
  3. RAGGING in any form by any student will make him/her liable for expulsion/punishment as per A.P. Ragging Act 26 of 1997 and subsequent Supreme Court verdict.
  4. Hostel accommodation is available. Hostel admission is subject to the rules in force from time to time. Candidates under self-support mode will be considered for hostel accommodation subject to availability of seats only after accommodating students under regular category.
  5. Continuous absence from classes for more than 10 consecutive working days without permission entails automatic cancellation of admission.
  6. The admission is liable for cancellation in case of proven misconduct either in the department or in the hostel or on the campus.
