All the District Educational Officers in the State are informed that the "National Sports Day" is being conducted on 29th of August of every year on the occasion of Sri Dhyanchand's Birthday, who was Wizard of Hockey. In this regard, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, School Education Department desires to give awards to the meritorious schools as the "Kreeda Prathibha Awards (School of Sports Excellency Awards)".
The following are the guidelines for considering the finalization of the awards to the schools for the academic year 2022-2023.
- It applies to School Games Federation 2022-2023 games only. The details are given in the Annexure (School of Sports Excellency Awards at the district level)
- For the schools that are applying for the School of Excellence Award, the concerned Headmaster and Physical Education teacher should be countersigned on the Xerox copies of the Sports and Games certificate.
- The points for team events and individual events of district excellency are given in Annexure
- The highest score secured in the concerned or particular game is taken into consideration. And the overall performance of particular schools securing the highest score in the district, top 5 schools taken into consideration for the School of Sports Excellency Award.
- Last date for the submission of applications is 16-08-2023
- Scrutiny of the application is 18-08-2023
- Objections on 20-08-2023
- Finalization of Kreeda Prathiba awards applications on 23-08-2023
- Submission of application to O/o Commissioner of School Education office is 24-08-2023.
They are, therefore, request to constitute a 5-member committee for the finalization of applications and provide instructions to Headmasters concerned to submit the necessary certificates to the Secretary, District School Games along with a signed copy of the annexed formats on or before 16.08.2023, without fail.
