ORDER:
In pursuance of the proposals submitted by the District Educational Officer, Chittoor and Nellore districts under ref. 4th, 5th and 6th cited and requested this office to sanction of conveyance allowances to differently abled Government employees irrespective of nature of impairment and reader allowances to Visually Handicapped teachers who are working in A.P Model Schools in the state.
According to the orders issued by the Government, the reader allowance to visually Handicapped and conveyance allowances to Physically Handicapped are admissible to the teachers who are working in A.P Model Schools in the state as follows:
In respect of Visually Handicapped teachers working in A.P Model Schools. The DDO's are hereby requested to claim the Reader Allowances with their monthly salaries at the respective posts, so as to enable to engage the readers to assist them in reading various books to maintain professional standards, the slab rates are shown below:

In respect of Physically Handicapped teachers working in A.P Model Schools. The DDO's are hereby requested to claim the conveyance Allowances, with their monthly salaries in the respective posts, @ 10% of basic pay subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.2000/- per month.
In view of the above, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District Educational Officers concerned are informed to act accordingly and also instructed to make necessary entries in Service Registers of the individual concerned.
The expenditure in respect of the above may be met from the budget allocated under salaries component and they further informed that no unnecessary correspondence be made in this regard in future.
