GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH ABSTRACT Secondary Education- Guidelines and procedure for admissions of students into Model Schools in the State of Andhra Pradesh from the Academic Year 2013-14- Amendment - Orders-Issued.   School Education (Prog.I) Department G.O.Ms.No.40                                            Dated:07.06.2016                                    Read the following:  1. G.O. Ms.No.17, Education (SE-Prog.I) Dept. dated 11.02.2013 2. From the Commissioner of School Education &  Ex-Officio Project Director, A.P. Model Schools, Hyderabad Lr.Rc.No. 206/B1/APMS/2015/2016, dated 03.05.2016. *** ORDER:-
 In the circumstances reported by the Commissioner of School Education &  Ex-Officio Project Director, A.P. Model Schools, Hyderabad in the reference 2nd read above, after careful examination of the matter, Government have decided to make amendment to guidelines and procedure for admissions into Model Schools issued vide G.O. 1st read above and accordingly, Government hereby issue following amendment to  G.O.Ms.No. 17, Education (SE-Prog.I) Dept, dt. 11.02.2013.  Amendment  For para 2 of Guidelines and procedure for admissions of students into Model Schools, the following shall be substituted, namely:  For Read asIt is also proposed that admissions for classes VI, VII, VIII shall be done as per the provisions of RTE Act,  XXXV of 2009 and procedure followed by APREIS will be adopted: admissions into Junior Intermediate shall be based on the marks scored in the SSC Examination in the order of merit.   Admissions for classes VI, VII, VIII shall be done as per the provisions of RTE Act,  XXXV of 2009 and procedure followed by APREIS will be adopted: “Admissions into Junior Intermediate shall be made with the available students of Model Schools based on marks / grades scored by them on merit basis and reservation. In case of leftover seats, if any, these seats shall be filled up with SSC passed students from the other schools of that Mandal on merit and reservation basis.  Still if any,  seats are leftover, these seats shall be filled up  with the students of other Mandals on merit and reservation basis.   2.  The Commissioner of School Education &  Ex-Officio Project Director, A.P.
